They say your best years are behind you at 80. She proves that’s a lie.
I recently took a stroll down Pimlico Road in London and visited Nina Campbell’s store. I was surprised to see Nina herself in the shop, walking the halls. I could feel even from a distance that she was in charge, but to be sure I asked a cashier. She confirmed that Nina visits the store every single day. I was left in amazement.
Just around the corner from Nina’s store, I also visited Bonadea, a premier luxury boutique specializing in high-end tableware, glassware, and unique home accents. I hope you enjoy my peek inside this luxury store. You could feel intention in every piece.
My last stop was a Carole Bamford shop. Carole was 53 years old when she started her first farm shop, Daylesford Organic, in 2002—long after most of us would consider stepping out to do something brand new and scary.
As I reflected on my walk on Pimlico Road, I came to a few conclusions:
- It is never too late to start something new.
- Creating something around what you are unapologetically passionate about can open doors to your next chapter you never imagined.
- Curiosity doesn’t just open doors, it opens your mind and your heart.
- Choosing what you actually love and want is essential to building a fulfilling next chapter.
I hope you enjoy my walk on Pimlico Road, and it sparks your imagination and creates action the way it did for me.
