Design Your Fabulous Next Chapter

This book introduced the framework that now underpins all of my work.
It was written during a season of rebuilding — after divorce, relocation, and the quiet dismantling of an old life.
It is both memoir and method.
A personal account of recalibration — and a practical and a structure for designing what comes next without abandoning who you’ve been.
This is not a manifesto for reinvention.

It is a guide to deliberate forward movement.

Why It Matters

Midlife does not require starting over.
It requires discernment, and a plan.

This book provides both.

It helps you identify what matters now, close the gap between intention and action, and build a next chapter that feels aligned and sustainable.

Not dramatic.
Better.

The Seven Steps

The framework unfolds in seven deliberate movements:

  1. Dream Beyond the Current Chapter
  2. Decide What Matters Now
  3. Get Clear on Where You Stand
  4. Mind the Gap
  5. Try On New Ideas
  6. Write Your Plan
  7. Create Your Manifesto

They were shaped in real life — across cities, family transitions, identity shifts, professional pivots, and the quiet recalibrations that follow unexpected change.
They offer structure without rigidity.
Clarity without drama.
Momentum without urgency.

Who This Book Is For

I’ve read a number of books to help women get on a new path and Sharri’s book is such a welcome new take on this. The exercises are precise and punchy — and there’s nowhere to hide when you sit down to do them! I especially liked how Sharri weaves her own story and learning into the lessons. She is vulnerable and makes me feel like I am in good hands with listening to what she has to say. I follow her on YouTube and greatly enjoy her content there as well. This book would be a great gift for someone.

Sharri Harmel’s Design Your Fabulous Next Chapter is an honest, smart, and encouraging guide for any woman ready to step into a new phase of life with clarity and purpose.

Sharri’s voice is relatable and trustworthy. She doesn’t shy away from talking about real life — divorce, dating, estrangement, heartbreak — and she shows us that a great life is still possible through all of it. Her approach to dreaming big, but planning wisely, is exactly the kind of grounded advice we need more of.

I loved how she encourages us to develop hobbies, explore passions, and use them as building blocks for a fulfilling life. Her book isn’t just motivational — it’s a real road map I’ll be using as I design my own next chapter. A must-read for anyone craving a fresh, empowered start.

For some, the book is enough

For others, it opens the door to something more

Inside the Salon, these ideas are explored more deeply — in conversation, over time.
