I’ve been thinking a lot about places lately.
Not just where we live…but what certain places represent.
In the spring of 2018, I bought an older home in Minneapolis that needed a complete gut renovation.
On paper, it made very little sense.
I loved my life in Boston. I was also spending six months each year in Paris. Most people assumed that one day I would be permanently in Paris.
Instead, I bought a house in Minneapolis that required months of construction, endless decisions, and far more money than I had planned.
Why?
Because I believed that love—and family—were asking me to come home.

I’ve been thinking about a question lately.
