Thank you for this video Sharri. I think we can all relate more or less to what you said and what you’ve experienced. I’m in my mid fifties. I live with my husband and our two teenage boys (I had my children in my late thirties and early forty’s) I’ve found several “tribes” throughout my lifetime. But I’ve lost those tribes due to evolving and also due to several international moves. I’ve had to start all over again several times. And now it’s hard for me to find the motivation to keep looking for yet another group to belong to. I have a couple of good friends close by and a few other scattered around the world, and I make efforts to keep those relationships going. I focus on my nuclear family. I adore them. In a few years, when our boys leave, I’ll do my best to stay as connected to them as possible. I’d love to make new meaningful friendships. But as you said, the older we get the harder it becomes. You’re right. We have to start with ourselves. Be nice to ourselves, forgive ourselves for our shortcomings, and come up with new ways to find that sense of belonging. Sending you a big hug 🫂 ❤️ 😊
